伊藤忠ケーブルシステムでは、かねてより放送事業者様・動画配信事業者に対してライブ配信、VoD 配信ソリューションを提供しております。インターネット動画配信が一般化に伴い、近年はプロスポーツチームを始め、各種団体･ライブイベント事業者様らからは、自らのイベントをライブ配信したいというニーズの高まりが寄せられていました。
この新たなニーズを取り込むべく、LiveU 社の持つクラウドライブ番組制作ソリューションであるLiveU Studio に着目し、この国内販売を行うべくLiveU との代理店販売契約に至った次第です。

LiveU Studioは、イベント会場から送られてくる様々なフォーマットのライブ映像をクラウド内へ取り込み、複数カメラアングルの即時切替、ビデオファイルのプレイアウト配信、各種グラフィックの画面合成、リモートゲストの番組参加を実現したうえで、各配信プラットフォームの入力仕様にフォーマット調整を行い、最大30 ストリームまで同時配信することが可能です。
また、そのユーザーインターフェースは直観的で、例えばチームの広報室の方でも容易に慣れていただけ、そのすべては手元のPC ブラウザから操作できるものです。これにより、専門的な知識を伴わずともどなたにでも臨場感を持った放送品質のライブ配信できるようになります。
尚、本代理店契約により、LiveU Studio に加えイベント会場からの映像伝送装置も同時に販売行え、e-Sports を含むプロアマスポーツチーム・団体様、音楽･演劇などライブイベント主催者様らにとって、フィールドから配信プラットフォームまで一気通貫した力強いライブ制作ツールをお届けしてまいります。

LiveU, collaboration with ITOCHU CABLE SYSTEMS Inc, to
Strengthen Sales in the Internet Video Streaming Market in Japan

ITOCHU Cable System Corp. (Shinagawa ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Nakatani; hereinafter “ITOCHU Cable System”) has concluded a sales partnership agreement with LiveU Japan K.K. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo ; Sr. Director : Mitsuharu Katsuta ; hereinafter “LiveU”) to expand sales of a new service that enables easy live streaming using cloud technology for sports and other live events, which are becoming increasingly popular.

We provide LiveU Studio, a live video production studio built on the cloud, to professional sports teams, Sport organizations, and event organizers with an integrated video transmission system that uploads video directly from stadiums and other event venues using mobile data circuits, making it possible for anyone to produce shows and broadcast quality live online video to multiple digital destinations at low cost.

ITOCHU CABLE SYSTEM has been providing live distribution and VoD streaming solutions to broadcasters and OTT service providers for long period. With Internet video streaming becomes norm, there has been a growing demands in recent years, from professional sports teams, various organizations, and live event providers for live streaming of their own events.
In order to meet this new demands, we have focused on LiveU Studio, LiveU’s cloud driven live production solution, and have entered into a sales agreement with LiveU to distribute LiveU Studio in Japan.

LiveU Studio brings live video in a variety of formats from event venues into the cloud, instantly switches between multiple camera angles, distributes playout video files, composites various graphics on screen, and allows remote guests to participate in t he program, then adjusts the format to the input specifications of each OTT streaming platform, enabling up to 30 streams simultaneously.
Its user interface is intuitive and easy to familiarize yourself with, for example, even if you are in the PR office of your team, and it can all be operated from a PC browser at hand. This makes it possible for anyone to broadcast live with realism and broadcast quality, without the need for specialized knowledge.

With this partnership agreement, we will be able to sell LiveU Studio as well as video transmission equipment at the same time, providing pro- and ama- sports teams and organizations, including e-Sports, and live events organizers such as music and theater with powerful live production tools from the field to the OTT streaming platform.
